This privacy policy sets out how The Dublin Story Slam uses and protects any information that you give us when you subscribe to your mailing list.  

The Dublin Story Slam is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement which is effective from May 23rd 2018.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to let you know about upcoming Story Slam events, news about our Podcast, competitions and info on how to get involved with The Dublin Story Slam. Occasionally we'll also inform you about some newsworthy stories from our own community that we think you might be interested in. For example, one of our recent storytellers, Ellie Kisyombe, runs a pop restaurant collective, called Our Table, where people living in Direct Provision get to cook food from their own countries. We might occasionally include links like this that we feel you would be interested in but we are very select about this. 


We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We use only mail chimp to deliver our e.mails to you which is also GDPR compliant. You can read there own privacy policies here.  We also keep a separate backup copy of your contact details securely on a separate hard-drive that is securely located and never leaves that location.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
